Sunvair, Inc. is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gear and hydraulic components supporting Boeing, Bombardier, and Lockheed platforms. We are seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician to support the chemical processing operations of our aerospace plating department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career candidate interested in aerospace manufacturing, chemical processing, and laboratory analysis in a highly regulated aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of plating bath chemistries to maintain required operating parameters.
• Support plating processes including Nital Etch, Hard Chrome, Sulfamate Nickel, and Cadmium plating.
• Maintain solution testing and coupon testing programs in compliance with FAA and industry standards.
• Analyze test data and recommend chemical adjustments as needed.
• Ensure calibration and proper operation of laboratory equipment.
• Conduct basic statistical analysis and process monitoring.
• Safely handle chemicals and follow all safety and environmental procedures.
• Identify and document process or product quality issues.
• Maintain laboratory records and plating process documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferred.
• Laboratory training or experience in aerospace or industrial plating environments is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to safely operate laboratory testing equipment and handle chemicals.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
