Program Manager Job Description
Sunvair, Inc., located in Valencia, CA, is a leading FAA- and EASA-certified aerospace MRO specializing in landing gear overhaul and repair for narrow-body commercial and military aircraft. We are committed to quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in all aspects of our work. Currently we are seeking a detail-oriented, and high energy individual to oversee the day-to-day management of current and future programs for component and plating processing. The selected applicant will be responsible for scheduling and status reporting, and development of strategies to reach turn times and troubleshoot production challenges related to and in support of processing of customer orders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently including scheduling all activities in project management program, schedule production time, monitoring all tasks, and leading kickoff and status meetings.
- Manage quoting activities assigned by business development, existing customers/products, pull technical teams together, create and manage cost models, source/quote materials, lead assessment meetings
- Develop plans, budgets, and timelines for completion of products.
- Select resources for products and plans
- Analyze program risks
- Communicates progress and statuses to management as well as the customer.
- Works with sales and customers to establish, manage and control project scopes and deliverables.
- Create, maintain, and communicate project budgets, spending and financial status indicators
- Ensures accurate documents/specifications are maintained for repair and overhaul processes and documents are transferred to vendors and relevant internal groups.
- Develops an understanding of existing landscape surrounding area of expertise.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of program management experience, 787 Landing Gear experience preferred
- Aerospace experience, FAA Repair Station experience preferred
- Experience with presenting, communicating, and leading groups of teams
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
- Previous employment experience for the services sought, including practical experience with the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools and equipment generally used for maintenance activities performed by the repair station
Work Environment
- Office and shop floor environment within an FAA-certified landing gear repair station.
