Owasso, OK – June 23, 2025 – Sunvair Aerospace Group is proud to announce the appointment of Ryan Perkins as General Manager of the Cargo, Thermal Spray, Avionics, and Accessories Division. With over 26 years of aviation experience across military, commercial, and defense sectors, Ryan brings extensive expertise in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul, along with a strong record of operational leadership.

Ryan’s career began in the United States Marine Corps, serving in the CH-53E heavy-lift helicopter community. Following his military service, he transitioned into the commercial aviation industry, where he held key roles managing complex maintenance programs and leading technical operations for medium and heavy-lift rotorcraft.

At Erickson Incorporated, Ryan served as Director of MRO Programs, where he launched and led the H-53 refurbishment and reset division—overseeing full program execution from concept to delivery. His leadership helped establish a new core business capability within the organization, positioning Erickson as a trusted provider of complex aircraft reset and modification services.

His MRO leadership extended internationally, including assignments as a Commercial Service Representative and Maintenance Supervisor embedded with the Australian Defence Force, and as a Maintenance and Technical Advisor to the Royal Moroccan Air Force, in partnership with the U.S. Army. These roles highlight his ability to manage global sustainment programs in challenging environments.

While Ryan has held senior business development roles—including positions at Breeze-Eastern and Erickson Incorporated—his career has been defined by a strong focus on operational excellence, program execution, and the strategic growth of maintenance and sustainment capabilities. His leadership in complex MRO environments has consistently driven innovation, reliability, and long-term value for both commercial and defense aviation sectors. Ryan holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to the Sunvair Aerospace Group leadership team,” said Dale Roberts, Group COO of Sunvair Aerospace Group. “His diverse background, global perspective, and track record of driving operational excellence and business growth make him an ideal fit to lead this division into its next chapter.”
